Plant & Shrub Swap
Plant Swap Signals Spring is Here on Cape Cod
Spring has sprung! Gardeners are busy dreaming, preparing and rethinking their garden plans. They’re ready to dig, separate and renew their perennial beds and shrubs. This spring why don’t you share your garden’s excesses and beauty with your gardening friends at the first annual Friends of Provincetown Parks and Gardens Plant Swap?
Friends of Provincetown Parks and Gardens, a community nonprofit, is sponsoring its free spring community Plant Swap on Saturday and Sunday, April 15 and 16 at the Provincetown Veterans Memorial Community Center (VMCC) parking lot on Mayflower Lane, off Winslow St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plant and shrub drop-off begins the previous Saturday, April 8 at the location.
Gardeners know it’s easy and fun to share, swap and recycle their garden’s perennials and shrubs with their fellow gardeners, friends, and neighbors. And they feel good knowing their plants don’t have to fill a landfill. Come and pick up your free one-to-five-gallon containers beginning April 1 at the VMCC entrance.
